IDEB: Multi-Tenant Portal for 64 Districts

Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) · Association / Multi-Tenant Platform

64 autonomous district portals under one national platform.

A large-scale multi-tenant portal for the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh. Each district runs its own portal, configuration and member database, with centralised cross-tenant oversight. We also led a 3-day training programme across all 64 districts.

The challenge

Strict data isolation across 64 tenants, with secure cross-tenant national reporting.

Localised features per district without bloating the core codebase.

Onboarding hundreds of users of varied technical skill in just 3 days.

Our approach

Tenant-slug routing with global scopes and middleware checks to secure boundaries.

Settings-driven module engine for local views, events and announcements.

Standard curriculum, documentation and video guides for the nationwide rollout.

Tech stack

PHP, Laravel, Multi-Tenancy, Vue.js, MySQL / PostgreSQL, Tenant Middleware

Impact

Districts manage members, events and dues independently, with central control. A unified national network of diploma engineers. Active use from day one, with no resistance to adoption.
